The surrender of a further area of Crown Land immediately to the eastward of K.I.L.443, con- taining 8,489 square feet would cancel this 8,489 at $2.75

It could be made a condition with the Wharf and

Godown Co. that the payment of any balance due to them is to be

deferred until the sale of the surplus areas remaining in the

hands of the Government has taken place. It is possible that,

when the location of the terminal station has been definitely

settled, the surplus areas may be sold at a good price.

I may

mention that I recently received an enquiry as to the terms

upon which the Government would dispose of old Kowloon Inland

Lot 1140.
